After graduating in music, Helen studied Harpsichord and Piano at the Royal Academy of Music. She subsequently took up intensive vocal studies and appears with Chanterye as our principal singer.

Helen enjoys the extension to the technical spectrum [decoration] which singing medieval music involves. But she also maintains her interest in more modern large and small chorus work, and appears as a concert soloist and in opera.

As a professional musician, Helen teaches and accompanies extensively, performing with both vocal and instrumental soloists.

In Chanterye she plays several instruments, most notably the Hurdy-Gurdy.
